General Information

Campsites can be reserved by calling 1-866-OHIO-PARKS.  A maximum of six persons are permitted per campsite. Dump station use is free of charge to all registered campers.

Pet camping is available at all state park campgrounds on designated sites. A maximum of two pets per site is permitted. Pets must be on a leash at all times. No pets are permitted in cabins or lodges.

Other Camping Options

Advance reservations are required for camping options programs.  Contact the individual park office. 

Rent-A-Camp allows Ohio State Park visitors to enjoy tent camping without having to supply their own gear.

Rent-A-Tepee is available at Beaver Creek, Hueston Woods, John Bryan and Lake Hope state parks.

Rent-A-Yurt at Delaware, Harrison Lake, Hueston Woods, Maumee Bay and Pymatuning state parks.

The Rent-A-RV program offers fully equipped travel trailers at Alum Creek, Burr Oak, Caesar Creek, East Fork, East Harbor, Geneva and Punderson state parks.

Cabents at South Bass Island offer wood structures with fabric roofs that sleep six and provide an efficiency kitchen and private bathroom.  Call 1-866-OHIO-PARKS for reservations.

Horsemen's Camps

Facilities for horsemen's camps vary from primitive to fully developed. Call the park office for specific information. " ^ " indicates camp located on adjacent state forest lands. Horses are not provided by the park.

Organized Group Camp Areas

Group camps are available by reservation. Contact the individual park office.

Winter discounts are offered. General group camp fees in season are $4/adult/night and $1/youth/night, with the following exceptions:

  • Grand Lake St. Marys: Youth Groups only -- $5/adult/night: $1/youth/night
  • Lake Loramie: $50/group/night
  • Rocky Fork: $5/adult/night; $1/youth/night
  • Findley: $40/group regardless of length of stay
  • East Harbor: $5/adult/night; $2/youth/night; $18/night maximum plus a fully-refundable deposit of $78.
  • Hueston Woods: $100/group/night in large area; $50/group/night in small area.
  • Alum Creek and West Branch: $35/group/night
  • Mohican, Punderson: $40/group/night
  • Shawnee: $35/group/night for up to 12 people, plus an additional $1/person for groups larger than 12
  • Beaver Creek: $35/group/stay regardless of length of stay
  • Sycamore: Group Site A $5/person, $50 minimum; Group Site B $3/person, $30 minimum.
  • Indian Lake: $100/group/night in large area; $75/group/night in small area
  • A.W. Marion, Burr Oak, Deer Creek, Delaware, Harrison Lake, Kelleys Island, South Bass Island, and Wolf Run: Group camps are for organized youth groups only

Discounts

Golden Buckeye -- Golden Buckeye cardholders are given a 50% discount on camping fees on Sunday through Thursday nights, a 10% discount on camping fees, on Friday and Saturday nights a 10% discount on the total rate for Getaway Rentals, cabin and lodge reservations. The Golden Buckeye card is issued by the Ohio Department of Aging to Ohioans 60 years of age or older or to Ohioans 18 years or older who are totally and permanently disabled. The Golden Buckeye card must be presented when registering to obtain the discount.

VA Disability/POW -- Honorably discharged Ohio resident veterans with a disability that has been determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs to be permanently and totally disabling and who receive a VA pension or compensation are entitled to camp free of charge in Ohio's state parks. Ohio residents who are former prisoners-of-war are also exempt from camping fees. Proof of eligibility must be presented when registering to obtain discounts.

These prices do not include state and local taxes which vary according to local jurisdiction. All prices are subject to change without notice. All reservations accepted are subject to rates and rules of the division in effect at the time of occupancy. Golden Buckeye discounts  can not be used in conjunction with other discounts.
